What An Average Student Should Do After Class 12th?

Draughtsman Course: As the name it-self is related to Architect, Designer, Engineer and builder.Yes, if one opts for a course in draughtsmanship, he can become an Architect Draughtsman course in two streams.One is mechanical Draughtsman course and the second is Civil Draughtsman course.This course is of two year duration.After completion of draughtsman course one can further take admission in Diploma course and then he can get admission in Degree course.Draughtsman can also directly go for degree course of AMIE.

This course is for both boys and girls.

After class 10th only one can go for Draughtsman course.If a student has cleared class 12th then also he can get admission in Draughtsman course.This course is offered at Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).In every state district ITIs offer this course to the students who have passed class 10th.

Students are taught theory subject as well as practical subject.It is very simple course.Even very average student can complete it easily.Practical subject is drawing.Students are taught how to draw mechanical drawings.Very minute things related to drawings like size of drawing paper, pencil sharpening etc are taught.Understanding a drawing and its practical approach is taught.How to make different views like front view, side view and top view is the main aim of the course.Machine drawing is the main subject of the course.Students enjoy a lot, because there is not much in the course which has to be learnt like a parrot.This course is actually based on practice makes a man prefect.Two full years students have to make drawing.Starting from drawing a line to draw full production related drawing is the main aim of the course.After completing the course, Draughtsman mechanical student can join some factory’s drawing office or can work with consultancy service.

In Civil draughtsman course drawing the house plan map, road maps, bridges maps all are the part of course.House building plan, factory building plan, and town plan all are taught in this course.After completing the course students can do the job under some architect.After gaining experience of two to three years one can starts his/her own office.There are many Governments departments which requires draughtsman.

Beside government departments several private sectors also requires Draughtsman mechanical, Draughtsman Civil and Draughtsman Electrical.All most all consultancy services requires draughtsman.There is a huge demand of draughtsmen in Consultancy services, Industries, oil companies and construction companies.

Starting salary of a draughtsman is more than 10,000/- p.m.in private sector and 25000/-p.m.in Government sector.There are lot of promotional opportunities in this sector.One can minimum reaches to officer lever in private sector and Group-A officer in Government sector.He gets great respect in the office.

It is a white collar job.Draughts have to work in offices.Previously draughtsman’s tools were drawing board, drafting machine, rulers, set squares, pencil, eraser, instrument box containing compass, divider etc.But now drawings are made on computers using drawing software like Auto Cad, Catia, pipe net etc.These software made the drawing work more comfortable.As the nature of job requires, Drawing offices are in good environment of air conditioning rooms.Draughtsman has to deal with engineers as well as workers at the workplace.So it has a significant place in the office.
