Tuesday - The Day Of Hanuman (indian God)
There are seven days in a week.Every day has its own significance.Tuesday is said to be a day of God Hanuman.Hanuman was the devotee of Ram.It is saying that Hanuman is sankat (trouble) mochan (to remove) (he removes all troubles of its followers).People worship Hanuman on Tuesday and after worshiping distribute Bundi( One type of Indian Sweet) Prasad to the peoples.
Whenever I remember my childhood days and peep into my past it ends with lot of surprises and I keep on laughing to think about that golden period of my life.When I was just six or seven years old and started going to school or I can say from the time when I started understanding outside world I remember there was a temple in my locality.In that temple there were many of different Gods and Goddess.I liked one of them a lot not because it looks nice but because on Tuesday people used to offer Bundi Prasad to it and there after distribute that Prasad to people.The idol of Hanuman looks like monkey.Every Tuesday without failing I used to be there at six o’clock in the evening and stand in a queue of children to get Prasad.That time there was not feeling of rich and poor.Every child of our street had the same routine.
Then as the time passed and I was nearly ten years old.I started taking one rupee twenty five paisa and purchasing Prasad and distributing it among the family members after offering it to idol of God Hanuman.Sometimes if my parents didn’t give me the money I took it from my pocket money which my parents used to give me while going to school once in a while.But I tried not to fail to go to temple on Tuesday.During this period once I went to a local fair on a festival and purchased some idols of Gods and made a small temple in my home.I started offering prayer daily especially a day before examination and before the examination result declaration day.My brothers and sisters made a fun of this.They usually said that he prays only to pass in the examination.But, I always ignored them and was regularly worshiping Hanuman.
As I became adult of nearly 18-19 years old I continued worshiping God Hanuman and on every Tuesday I distributed the Prasad without failing.If due to any reason I could not distribute Prasad on one Tuesday then I distributed it on the next Tuesday of double amount and I am continuing it till date.
More surprising thing is that every good thing happens to me on Tuesday.I met my wife first day was Tuesday.I got my job on Tuesday.I was blessed with daughter on Tuesday and blessed with son on Tuesday.
Again, one thing happened to me few years back.I was travelling by local train from office to my house.The train was full of daily passengers (office going staff) and chance of moving of anyone in that crowed was near to impossible.Inside the compartment group of daily passengers used to offer prayer to God daily and on Tuesday distribute Prasad in the compartment.I was standing near the gate of the compartment and was feeling hungry.I was thing that today I may not get the Prasad as there is much crowed in the compartment and the Prasad distributor may not reach near me.But he managed to reach to me and gave me the Prasad.I was so happy at that time but was feeling to have more.I was thinking in my mind why Hanuman gave me so little Prasad? I want more.Second time, that man again came and gave me Prasad.I ate it but again I was not fully satisfied.I wished I may get again.Surprisingly the man just standing next to me offered me his Prasad and told me that because he is on fast so he can not eat it.I took the Prasad from him and ate it.This time I was very happy and thinking that God Hanuman was listening my heart voice and every time I wished for Prasad I got it.It made me happy.So, I believe that Tuesday is very important day for me and whatever I will wish on Tuesday I will get it.
